Pro Resumes

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Pro Resumes website and related online services (collectively, the "Service") operated by the merchant identified in Section 2 below. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Cookie Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service or complete a purchase. For payment-processor and regulatory review purposes, this page describes our business, products, pricing, billing, refunds, and support contacts.

2. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you will use the Service only for lawful purposes.

3. Description of the Service and digital delivery

Pro Resumes provides digital tools including:

Resume and cover letter builders with professional templates;
AI-assisted drafting and editing features (subject to fair use and plan limits);
Cloud storage of your documents while your account is active;
PDF download and browser-based print/export features for eligible paid plans.

Delivery: The Service is delivered electronically. After successful payment and account activation, access is typically granted immediately through your logged-in account. No physical goods are shipped.

4. Account registration and security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Notify us promptly at support@proresumes.co if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. Pricing, plans, and taxes

Current plan names, prices, billing intervals (for example weekly or monthly), and included features are displayed on our Pricing page and again at checkout before you pay.
Prices may be shown in USD or another currency as indicated at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign exchange conversion or international transaction fees outside our control.
Applicable taxes (including GST or VAT, where required) are calculated and shown at checkout or on your receipt/invoice where applicable by law.
We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable notice where required by law. Changes do not affect amounts already paid for the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

6. Payments, payment processors, and billing authorization

When you purchase a paid plan, you authorize Pro Resumes and our payment partners to charge your selected payment method for the total amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes and disclosed fees.

6.1 Payment processors

We use independent payment processors to accept and settle payments. Depending on your location and the method you choose, checkout may be powered by one or more of the following:

Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates — for card payments and certain international payment methods. Stripe processes card data on its own secure systems. Stripe's services are subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
Razorpay Software Private Limited (and its banking partners) — when India-eligible methods are offered (for example domestic cards, UPI, netbanking, or wallets as shown at checkout). Razorpay's services are subject to Razorpay's terms and privacy policy.

We do not store full card numbers, CVV/CVC, or UPI PINs on our servers. Payment metadata (such as transaction ID, amount, status, and last four digits where applicable) may be retained for billing support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Card and bank statement descriptor

Charges may appear on your card or bank statement under a descriptor that includes proresumes.co, Pro Resumes, or a related billing name shown at checkout. If you do not recognize a charge, contact support@proresumes.co before disputing with your bank.

6.3 Payment confirmation

A purchase is complete when we receive confirmation of successful payment from the payment processor. If payment fails or is reversed, access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved.

7. Subscriptions, auto-renewal, and cancellation

Some plans are recurring subscriptions (for example weekly or monthly), as disclosed on the Pricing page and at checkout.

Auto-renewal: Unless you cancel before the renewal date, your subscription renews automatically for the same billing period at the then-current price (plus applicable taxes), using the payment method on file or as re-entered at renewal.
How to cancel: You may cancel future renewals by contacting us via the Contact page (topic: Payments/Billing), by emailing support@proresumes.co. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not by itself refund amounts already paid for the current period unless eligible under our Refund Policy.
Effect of cancellation: After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law.

8. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary (see the full policy for details):

Digital access is usually provided immediately; refunds are limited and assessed based on usage, error, duplicate charges, and applicable consumer law.
A 7-day satisfaction refund may be available for eligible purchases as described on our Pricing/Refund pages, subject to fair-use limits.
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method via the same processor (Stripe or Razorpay) within the timelines stated in the Refund Policy.

9. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you have a billing problem, contact support@proresumes.co first so we can investigate. Filing an unnecessary chargeback or payment dispute after receiving the Service may result in account suspension and recovery of costs where permitted by law. We cooperate with payment processors and banks in fraud and dispute investigations.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or infringing activity;
Upload malware or attempt to breach security or payment systems;
Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the platform without permission;
Resell or sublicense the Service without written consent;
Misrepresent your identity or payment authorization.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, templates, branding, and site content, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business resume/cover letter purposes according to your plan.

You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service (including backups and support).

12. AI-assisted features

AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience only. You are solely responsible for reviewing accuracy, legality, and suitability before submitting resumes or cover letters to employers or third parties. We do not guarantee hiring outcomes.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where allowed.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pro Resumes and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), except where a higher minimum is required by mandatory consumer protection law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pro Resumes and its operators from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except where prohibited by law.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, security risks, or material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations, IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) survive termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

For users in India, these Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived.

For users outside India, these Terms are governed by the laws of India unless mandatory local consumer laws in your country require otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection regulations in your place of residence.

18. Privacy and cookies

Our collection and use of personal data, including data shared with Stripe and Razorpay, is described in our Privacy Policy. Cookie and similar technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the site where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where prohibited by law.
